Indeed, the world’s largest job-search site, is to hire for 600 new jobs in Dublin.

Recruitment has already started for the jobs across the areas of marketing, finance, strategy, operations, sales, client services, HR and business development.

Indeed hopes to fill roles within the next five years at its headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Having first opened its Dublin office in 2012, the company today employs over 1,000 people in the city centre.

“Indeed exists to help people get jobs, and as our business grows rapidly, we need even more people to help us with this mission,” said Chris Hyams, CEO at Indeed.

“I am delighted to be announcing 600 new roles in Dublin, a city that Indeed arrived in only seven years ago with just three staff. As the Irish economy has grown, Indeed has had the opportunity to grow a strong EMEA HQ here with an abundance of talented staff.”

The announcement was made by Mr Hyams at the company’s newly-opened Capital Dock HQ.

Some leading Fine Gael politicians were at the event, including Minister for Business, Enterprise, and Innovation Heather Humphreys, Minister of State for Higher Education, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, and European election candidate Frances Fitzgerald.

Indeed also announced its new partnership with the Irish Olympic team.

As part of the partnership, the recruitment company will collaborate with the Olympic Federation of Ireland Athletes’ Commission to create a programme of workshops, mentoring and job placements for athletes to help them manage their careers alongside their athletic endeavours.

Headquartered in the US, Indeed employs nearly 9,000 staff worldwide.
